Built in 1981, by Horton Boats Incorporated of Bayou LaBatre, Alabama (hull #222) as the Gatco Carolina for the Gulf Atlantic Transport Company of Jacksonville, Florida.

The tug was later acquired by the Eymard Marine Construction and Repair Company Incorporated of Harvey, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Jackie B. Eymard.

In 1997, she was acquired by the Crosby Marine Transportation Company of Golden Meadow, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Dino John.

Powered by two, GM 12V-71 diesel engines with a 6:1 reduction. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,000 horsepower.
