Built in 1981, by Offshore Shipbuilders Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #3) as the Christian D. Hebert for Gulf International Marine Incorporated of New Orleans, Louisiana.
In 1987, the tug was acquired by the Eklof Marine Corporation of Staten Island, New York. Where she was renamed as the Algonquin
In 1996, she was acquired by Central Gulf Towing Incorporated of Harvey, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Duard E.
In 2007, the tug was acquired by the Crosby Marine Transportation of Golden Meadow, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Gayle Crosby.
In 2020, she was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Houma, Louisiana.
Powered by two, Detroit 16V-149NA diesel engines. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She was a twin screw tug, rated at 2,200 horsepower.
