Built in 1981, by Collins Seafood Incorporated of LaRose, Louisiana (hull #21) as the Chad Martin for Andrew Martin Sea Service Incorporated of Thibodaux, Louisiana.
In 1996, the tug was acquired by the Seabreeze Towing Company of Houma, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the John Monteiro III.
In 2004, she was acquired by the Delta Towing Company of Houma, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Delta Goose.
In 2011, the tug was acquired by the Crosby Marine Transportation Company of Golden Meadow, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.
In 2012, the Crosby Marine Transportation Company renamed the tug as the Judith Margaret.
In 2016, the tug was acquired by the Miami River Towing Company Incorporated of Miami, Florida. Where she was renamed as the Sara.
Powered by two, GM 12V71 diesel engines. With Twin Disc MG 514, and Tonan TM729D reduction gears, at a ratio of 5.5:1. Turning two, 54(in) by 44(in) by 5(in), stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 900 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 30kW amp generator sets. Driven by two, GM 3-71 diesel engine. The tug's capacities are 12,000 gallons of fuel oil, 300 gallons of lube oil, and 7,000 gallons of potable water.
The tug's towing equipment consists of a single drum, Nabrico LR250 towing winch.
