GULF MASTER

Built in 1965, by Main Iron Works Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #149) as the Gulf Master for Gulf Mississippi Marine Incorporated of Houston, Texas.

In 1978, Gulf Mississippi Marine Incorporated became Gulf Fleet Marine Incorporated of Houston, Texas.

In 1985, Zapata Marine Service, Gulf Fleet Marine Incorporated, and Jackson Marine Services merged to form Zapata Gulf Marine Service Incorporated of Houston, Texas.

In 1992, Zapata Gulf Marine Incorporated merged with Tidewater Marine Incorporated of New Orleans, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1993, the tug was acquired by Crowley Marine Services Incorporated of San Francisco, California. Where she was renamed as the Arthur S.

In 1999, she was acquired by the Brusco Tug and Barge Company of Longview, Washington. Where the tug was renamed as the Arthur Brusco.

Powered by two, Caterpillar 3512C diesel engines. Turning two, cast steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 2,460 horsepower.

Her capacities are 34,342 gallons of fuel, 747 gallons of lube oil, and 290 gallons of hydraulic oil.
