Built in 1953, by the Pacific Coast Engineering Company (PACECO) of Alameda, California (hull #153) as the Sea Duke for Crowley Marine Services Incorporated of San Francisco, California.
A sister to the tug Sea Scout. She was designed by Naval Architect Chris Norgaard. Who was an "in house" Naval Architect with Crowley Marine Services.
In 1997, the tug was acquired by the Brusco Tug and Barge Company of Longview, Washington. Where she was renamed as the Robert J. Brusco.
In 2016, she was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Sacramento, California.
In 2023, the tug was scrapped at Mare Island in Vallejo, California. She was a single screw tug, rated at 2,000 horsepower.
