Built in 1971, by Main Iron Works Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull# 241) as the R. Paul Guidry for American Offshore Fleet Company of Galliano, Louisiana.

In 1976, the tug was acquired by the Morrison Knudsen Company of Boise, Idaho. Where she was renamed as the Pat Powers.

In 1981, she was acquired by the Allied Transportation Company of Norfolk, Virginia. Where the tug was renamed as the Sea Robin.

In 2012, the Allied Transportation Company was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2018, she was phased out of active service. And, she was "laid up" at Mariner's Harbor in Staten Island, New York.

In 2021, the tug was acquired by the Blaha Towing Company of Norfolk, Virginia. Where she was renamed as the April H.

Powered by two, twelve cylinder, Alco 12-251-C diesel engines. Turning two, cast steel, fixed pitch, propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 3,000 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 60kW generator sets. The tug's capacities are 56,797 gallons of fuel.
