Built in 1970, by Colberg Boat Works Incorporated of Stockton, California as the Kavik River for Crowley Marine Services Incorporated of San Francisco, California.
In 2019, the tug was acquired by the Cook Inlet Tug and Barge Company of Anchorage, Alaska. A subsidy of Foss Marine Holdings of Seattle, Washington. Where she was renamed as the Kavik Wind.
She is a square bow, triple screw tug, rated at 1,095 horsepower.
