WESTERN TITAN

Built in 1997, by the Western Towboat Company Incorporated of Seattle, Washington (hull #11) as the Western Titan for the Western Towboat Company of Seattle, Washington.

She was the first Titan class tug built by the Western Towboat Company. The tug's hull is constructed of steel, with the pilot house, and superstructure constructed of aluminum.

Powered by two, Caterpillar 3516-B LS diesel engines. Turning two, 100(in) by 120(in) propellers, Mounted in Ulstein z-drive units, for a rated 5,000 horsepower.

Her electrical power is provided by two, 135kW Caterpillar 3306 generator sets. The tug's capacities are 170,000 gallons of fuel, and 1,200 gallons of lube oil.

The towing gear consists of a single drum, Rapp Hydma towing winch. Outfitted with 2,800(ft) of 2.25(in) towing wire.
