SIGNET VIGILANT

Built in 2014, by the Signet Shipbuilding and Repair Company of Pascagoula, Mississippi (hull #108) as the Signet Vigilant for the Signet Maritime Corporation of Houston, Texas.

The tug was designed by the Naval Architecture firm Castleman Maritime of Kemah, Texas for the Signet Maritime Corporation of Houston, Texas.

In 2022, she was acquired by E.N. Bisso and Son Company of Metairie, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Vigilant.

Powered by two, Tier III compliant MTU 8V-4000 M54 diesel engines. With two, Rolls Royce US 155 P12-FP z-drives, outfitted with 1,600(mm), four bladed, Nibral propellers. For a rated 2,460 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, Tier III compliant, 65kW/60 Hz/480V John Deere 4045TFM85 generators. The tug's are 20,932 gallons of fuel, 2,932 gallons of potable water, 422 gallons of lube oil, 365 gallons of black and grey water, 365 gallons of dirty oil, and 6,468 gallons of ballast.

The tug's towing equipment consists of a 20 horsepower, electric Markey DEPC-32 winch. Outfitted with 300(ft) of 2.5(in) of Quantum 12 hawser. As well as two 40 Ton, 7.5 horsepower WWP40E facing winches.
