DELAND
Built in 1919, by Johnson Iron Works of New Orleans, Louisiana as the Deland for the United States Shipping Board.
In 1920, the tug was transferred to the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Where she retained her name.
In 1955, she was acquired by the McAllister Brothers Towing Company of New York, New York. Where the tug was renamed as the Donal G. McAllister.
In 1968, the tug was acquired by Future Fisheries of Panama City, Florida. Where she was converted for use as a fishing vessel. And, renamed as the Pursuit. She was a single screw tug, rated at 633 horsepower.
