GUIDING STAR

Built in 1889, by Robert Palmer and Sons of Noank, Connecticut as the Guiding Star for the Stanwood Towing Company of Stanwood, Michigan.

The tug was later acquired by the McAllister Brothers Towing Company of New York, New York. Where she retained her name.

In 1947, the tug was dismantled. She was a single screw tug, rated at 400 horsepower.
