Built in 1976, by Superior Boat Works Incorporated of Greenville, Mississippi (hull #127) as the Cindy Brent for the Brent Towing Company Incorporated of Greenville, Mississippi.

In 1998, the tug was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where she retained her name.

In 2020, she was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Houston, Texas.

Powered by two, GM 8-645E2 diesel engines. With Falk reduction gears, at a ratio of 3.5:1. She was a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,800 horsepower.
