ENCO MISSISSIPPI

Built in 1969, by Jeffboat Incorporated of Jeffersonville, Indiana (hull #2247) as the Enco Mississippi for the Humble Oil and Refining Company of Houston, Texas.

In 1973, the tug was transferred to the Exxon Shipping Company of Wilmington, Delaware. A rebranded Esso Shipping Company of Wilmington, Delaware. Where she was renamed as the Exxon Mississippi.

In 1993, in the wake of the Exxon Valdez incident. The Exxon Shipping Company was rebranded as the SeaRiver Maritime Company of Houston, Texas. Where the tug was renamed as the S/R Mississippi.

In 1995, she was leased to Coastal Towing Incorporated of Houston, Texas. Where the tug was renamed as the Lady Estelle.

In 1996, the tug was returned to the SeaRiver Maritime Company of Houston, Texas. Where she was S/R Mississippi.

In 2003, she was acquired by the the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug was renamed as the City of Baton Rouge.

In 2003, the tug was acquired by the Florida Marine Transporters Incorporated of Mandeville, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Miss Kelly.

In 2007, she was acquired by the Kenco Marine Company of Katy, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2009, the tug was acquired by the Florida Marine Transporters Incorporated of Mandeville, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.

In 2011, the Florida Marine Transporters Incorporated renamed the tug as the Belle.

Repowered in 2000, the tug is driven by two Caterpillar 3512 diesel engines. With Lufkin reduction gears, at a ratio of 4:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,800 horsepower.
