Built in 1998, by C and G Boatworks Incorporated of Mobile, Alabama (hull #41) as the Janice Moran for the Petroleum Transport Corporation of New Canaan, Connecticut. A subsidiary of the Moran Towing Corporation of New Canaan, Connecticut.

In 2004, the tug was acquired by the Coastal Tug and Barge Company of Miami, Florida. Where she was renamed as the Coastal Indian River.

In 2009, the tug was acquired by Transmontaigne Product Carriers Incorporated of Denver, Colorado. Where she was renamed as the Indian River.

In 2009, the tug was acquired by Teppco Marine Services of Houma, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2009, she was acquired by Enterprise Marine Services of Houma, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.

In 2011, the tug was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where she retained her name.

She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 2,000 horsepower.
