Buil in 1902, by Neafie and Levy Engine Building Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (hull #957) as Harry G. Runkle.

The tug was later acquired by the Moran Towing Company of New York, New York. Where she was renamed as the Julia C. Moran.
