BELCHER MIAMI
Built in 1981, by Main Iron Works Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #367) as the Belcher Miami for the Belcher Towing Company of Tampa, Florida.
In 1993, the tug was acquired by the Coastal Tug and Barge Company of Miami, Florida. Where she was renamed as the Coastal Miami.
In 2009, she was acquired by Transmontaigne Product Carriers Incorporated of Denver, Colorado. Where she was renamed as the Miami.
In 2009, the tug was acquired by Teppco Marine Services of Houma, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.
In 2009, she was acquired by Enterprise Marine Services of San Antonio, Texas. Where she retained her name.
In 2011, the tug was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where she retained her name.
In 2023, she was phased out of active service. And the tug was "laid up" at Miami, Florida.
In 2023, the tug was acquired by the Hays Tug and Launch Company of Wallingford, Pennsylvania.
Powered by two, twelve cylinder, EMD 12-645-E6 diesel engines. Turning two, cast steel, fixed pitch, propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 3,000 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 75kW generator sets. The tug's capacities are 42,003 gallons of fuel.
