Built in 1995, by John Bludworth Marine Incorporated of Pasadena, Texas (hull #102) as the Miss Bettye for Hollywood Marine Incorporated of Houston, Texas.

In 1998, the tug was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where she retained her name.

In 2020, she was acquired by Colonial Towing Incorporated of Savannah, Georgia. Where the tug retained her name.

Powered by two, Cummins KTA-38M1 diesel engines. She is a twin towboat, rated at 1,600 horsepower.
