NAVASOTA

Built in 1983, by Patti Shipbuilding Incorporated of Pensacola, Florida (hull #111) as the Navasota for Tow Boat Services and Management Incorporated of Honolulu, Hawaii.

In 1991, she was acquired by the Smith Maritime Company of Honolulu, Hawaii. Which was a part of the Hawaiian Interisland Towing Company of Honolulu, Hawaii. Where she was renamed as the Nohea.

In 2007, the Smith Maritime Company was acquired by the K-Sea Transportation Partnership Incorporated of East Brunswick, New Jersey. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2011, the K-Sea Transportation Partnership Incorporated was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2019, she was acquired by the Curtin Maritime Company of Long Beach, California. Where the tug was renamed as the Devon C.

In 2020, the tug was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Long Beach, California.

Powered by two, sixteen cylinder, Caterpillar D-399 diesel engines. Turning two, cast steel, fixed pitch, propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 2,800 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 50kW generator sets.
