Built in 1961, by the Dravo Corporation of Wilmington, Delaware (hull # 4120) as the Marie S. Moran for the Dravo Corporation of Wilmington, Delaware.
Although the tug was listed as constructed for the Moran Towing Company of New York, New York. The tug was chartered by the Moran Towing Company from the Dravo Corporation. However, Moran never outright acquired the tug.
In 1962, the tug came off charter. And, was acquired by the McAllister Brothers Towing Company of New York, New York. Where she was renamed as the Teresa McAllister
In 2019, the tug was placed out of active service and was "laid up" at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
In 2020, the tug was placed back in to active service.
Powered by a single, EMD 16-567C diesel engine. With a Western Sea Master reduction gear, at a ratio of 4:1. Turning a single, cast steel, fixed pitch propeller outfitted with a kort nozzle, and, flanking rudder. She is a single screw tug rated at 2,200 horsepower.
