Built in 1976, by Wall Shipyard Incorporated of Harvey, Louisiana (hull #197535) as the Diana for Douglas Redd Towing Incorporated of Harvey, Louisiana.

In 1990, the tug was acquired by the Western Towing Company of Channelview, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Stallion.

In 2004, she was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2018, the tug was acquired by the Ohio River Salvage Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Where she was renamed as the Bailey Matthew.

Repowered in 2011, the tug is driven by two Cummins QSK19 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 6:1. She is a twin screw, towboat, rated at 1,320 horsepower.
