In 1987, the tug was acquired by Dixie Marine Incorporated of Houston, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Dixie Trader.
In 1998, she was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug retained her name.
In 2012, the tug was acquired by D and S Marine Services of Houma, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Lincoln L.
In 2016, D and S Marine Services renamed the tug as the R.J. Cheramie.
