Built in 1998, by C and G Boatworks Incorporated of Mobile, Alabama (hull #40) as the Tillie Moran for the Petroleum Transport Corporation of New Canaan, Connecticut. A subsidiary of the Moran Towing Corporation of New Canaan, Connecticut.

In 2002, the tug was acquired by Sea Tech Marine International of Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Where she was renamed as the Katherine.

In 2007, she was acquired by the Manson Construction Company of Seattle, Washington. Where the tug was renamed as the Erica M.

She is a twin screw, square bow, push boat. Rated at 2,000 horsepower.
