Built in 1914, at Sunrise Beach, Washington as the Arlyn Nelson.
She was later acquired by the American Tugboat Company of Everett, Washington. Where the tug retained her name.
In 1951, the tug was acquired by the Western Towboat Company of Seattle, Washington. Where she retained her name.
In 1957, she was acquired by an individual named Patrick Steppelman of Seattle, Washington. Where the tug retained her name.
The tug was later acquired by the Leconte Construction Company of Wrangell, Alaska. Where she was renamed as the Crescent.
On October 24th 1974, she ran aground at Totem Bay on Kupreanof Island, Alaska. The tug was not salvaged. She was powered by a single, Atlas diesel engine. For a rated 90 horsepower.
