Built in 1981, by Modern Marine Power Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #43) as the Richard M. Lowry for the Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company of Oak Brook, Illinois.
In 2012, the tug was reflagged in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Although, the Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company retained ownership of the tug.
In 2014, she was acquired by Al Sulaiti Trading and Marine Service of Kingdom of Bahrain. Where the tug retained her name.
She was a twin screw tug, rated at 1,800 horsepower.
Here capacities were 32,835 gallons of fuel, and 2,640 gallons of water.
