Built in 1970, by C.F. Bean Incorporated of Plaquemine, Louisiana as the Paul R. Dickinson for the Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company of Oak Brook, Illinois.

In 2012, the tug was reflagged in Kingdom of Bahrain. Although, the Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company retained ownership of the tug.

She is a twin screw tug, rated at 800 horsepower.
