Built in 1945 by the Burger Boat Company of Manitowoc, Wisconsin as the ST-909 for the United States Army.

In 1962, the tug was acquired by the American Construction Company of Everett, Washington. Where she was renamed as the Tulalip.

She is a single screw tug with 500 horsepower.
