Built in 1965 by Fellows and Stewart Incorporated of Wilmington, California as the Joe Sevier for the Matson Navigation Company Incorporated of Honolulu, Hawaii.
In 2001, the tug was acquired by Hawaiian Tug and Barge of Honolulu, Hawaii. Where she was renamed as the Momi.
In 2010, she was acquired by the Department of Port Administration of American Samoa. Where the tug was renamed as the Sailele.
