BALD EAGLE
Built in 1978, by Greenville Shipbuilding of Greenville, Mississippi (hull #102) as the Lombas Offshore No.3 for Lombas Offshore Incorporated of Harvey, Louisiana.
In 1981, Lombas Offshore Incorporated renamed the tug as the Ton Lombas.
In 1986, the tug was acquired by the Falgout Brothers Company, a subsidy of Global Towing Services Incorporated of LaRose, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Roland A. Falgout.
In 1999, she was acquired by Double Eagle Marine Incorporated. Where the tug was renamed as the Bald Eagle.
In 2000, the tug was acquired by R and B Falcon Marine Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.
In 2001, she was acquired by the Delta Towing Company of Houma, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Delta Pride.
In 2011, the tug was acquired by the Crosby Marine Transportation Company of Golden Meadow, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.
In 2022, she was phased out of active service and was "laid up" at Port Fourchon, Louisiana.
Powered by two, EMD 16-645-E6 NA diesel engines. With Rejents WGV 501 reduction gears, at a ratio of 4:1. Turning two, 120(in) by 78(in) 10.75(in) four bladed, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers, mounted in kort nozzles. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 3,0000 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 99kW generator sets. Driven by two, GM V8 V/871 diesel engines. The tug's capacities are 130,000 gallons of fuel, 28,000 gallons of water, and 2,500 gallons of lube oil.
The equipment consists of an INTERcon 76235, double drum, towing winch. Outfitted with 2,000(ft) of 2(in) cable on the towing drum. And, 2,000(ft) of 1(in) towing cable on the anchor drum.
