BLACK EAGLE

Built in 1979, by Nolan A. Gaspard of Cut off, Louisiana as the Queen Mary for Nolan's Queen Mary Incorporated of Cut Off, Louisiana.

In 1996, the tug was acquired by Double Eagle Marine Incorporated of New Iberia, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Black Eagle.

In 2004, she was acquired by the Delta Towing Company of Houma, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Delta Snapper.

In 2011, the tug was acquired by the Crosby Marine Transportation Company of Golden Meadow, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.

In 2012, she was acquired by J. Sercovich Incorporated of Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.

Powered by two, GM 8V71 diesel engines. With Twin Disc a reduction gear, on her port engine. And, a Hand Allison 509 reduction gear, on her starboard engine. Turning two, 42(in) by 40(in), Bore 3(in) stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 600 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 20kW, Delco generator sets. Driven by two, GM 271 diesel engines. The tug's capacities are 15,000 gallons of fuel, 10,000 gallons of water, and 80 gallons of lube oil.
