
Built in 1978, by Service Marine Industries of Amelia, Louisiana (hull #125) as the Miss Nicole Rene for the Smith Marine Towing Corporation of Morgan City, Louisiana.
In 1998, the tug was acquired by the Kelly-Ryan Incorporated of Seattle, Washington. Where she was renamed as the Casey Marie.
In 2004, she was acquired by Westar Marine Services Incorporated of San Francisco, California. Where the tug was renamed as the Taurus.
In 2015, the tug was leased to the Curtin Maritime Corporation of Long Beach, California. Where she retained her name.
In 2023, was acquired by the Curtin Maritime Corporation. Where she was renamed as the Collette C.
Powered by two, Cummins QSK19-M diesel engines. With Twin Disc MG 527 reduction gears, at a ratio of 5.17:1 Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers, with NautiCan kort nozzles. She is a twin screw tug rated at 1,320 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 30kW, Northern Lights generator sets. The tug's capacities are 21,000 gallons of fuel, 110 gallons of lube oil, and 3,000 gallons of water.
The towing equipment consists of a single drum, towing winch, driven by a John Deere 4045 diesel engine. Outfitted with 2,500(ft) of 1.5(in) towing wire and an under rider towing wire drum outfitted with 600(ft) of 1.5(in) towing wire. With two, Patterson Hydraulic face winches.
