Built in 1968, by Jeffboat Incorporated of Jeffersonville, Indiana (hull #2069) as the Esso Texas for the Esso Shipping Company of Wilmington, Delaware.
In 1973, the Esso Shipping Company became the Exxon Shipping Company of Wilmington, Delaware. Where the tug was renamed as the Exxon Texas.
In 1993, she was acquired by the Gateway Towing Company of New Haven, Connecticut. Where the tug was was renamed as the Old Saybrook.
In 1996, the tug was acquired by the LeBeouf Brothers Towing Company Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Creole Pride.
In 2007, she was acquired by Grifco Transportation Limited of Houston, Texas. Where the tug was renamed as the Capt. George Brumley.
In 2011, the tug was acquired by Genesis Marine Incorporated of Houston, Texas. Where she retained her name.
In 2011, Genesis Marine Incorporated renamed the tug as the C.G.B.
Powered by two, Caterpillar D398 diesel engines. She is a twin screw towboat rated at 1,800 horsepower.
