Built in 1978, by Herb's Welding Company of Harvey, Louisiana as the Mr. Werner for the St. Pierre Towing Company of Cut Off, Louisiana.

In 1978, she was acquired by the Mississippi Fleet and Towing Company of Cut Off, Louisiana. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1990, the tug was acquired by the International Towing and Transportation Company Incorporated of Galliano, Lousiana. Where she was renamed as the Nikki Jo.

In 1997, she was acquired by Hollywood Marine Incorporated Houston, Texas. Where the tug was renamed as the Linda E.

In 1999, the tug was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where she retained her name.

In 2002, she was acquired by B and B Towing Incorporated of Channelview, Texas. Where the tug was renamed as the Joshua R.

In 2014, the tug was acquired by E Squared Marine Service of Friendswood, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Irene C.

In 2022, the marine assets of E Squared Marine were acquired by the Campbell Transportation Company of Houston, Pennsylvania. Where the vessel retained her name

Powered by two, GM 12V-71 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 6:1. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 800 horsepower.
