Built in 1978, by D. L. Incorporated of Greenville, Mississippi (hull #2) as the Creole Rivers for the LeBeouf Brothers Towing Company Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana.
Powered by two, Cummins KTA19M3 diesel engines. With Twin Disc MG527 reduction gears, at a ratio of 5.96:1. Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,200 horsepower.
Her electrical service is provided by two, 40kW, Isuzu EE-4BG1T generator sets. The tug's capacities are 12,000 gallons of fuel, 250 gallons of lube oil, and 2,000 gallons of water.
