Built in 1977, by Toche Enterprises Incorporated of Ocean Springs, Mississippi (hull #101) as the Lady Elda for United Offshore Tugs Incorporated of Harvey, Louisiana.
In 1978, the tug was acquired by King's Marine International Corporation of Gretna, Louisiana. Where the tug was renamed as the Kings Challenger.
In 1978, she was leased out, and was renamed as the ITM No. 1.
In 1981, the tug was returned to the King's Marine International Corporation Gretna, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Kings Challenger. And, was outfitted with a Bludworth coupler system.
In 1984, the tug was acquired by Hannah Marine Incorporated of Lemont, Illinois. Where the tug retained her name.
In 1986, Hannah Marine Incorporated renamed the tug as the Susan W. Hannah.
In 2009, the tug was acquired by Port City Tugs Incorporated of Muskegon, Michigan. Where she was renamed as the Bradshaw McKee.
In 2014, Port City Tugs Incorporated outfitted the tug with an new tower, and upper wheelhouse.
Orignally driven by two, American Brons diesel engines. The tug was re powered with two, EMD 12-645 E5 diesel engines. With Falk MB reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.1:1 Turning two, stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers in kort nozzles. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 4,320 horsepower.
