Built in 2008, by Eastern Shipbuilding Group of Panama City, Florida (hull #931) as the Galveston for U.S. Shipping Partners LLC. of Edison, New Jersey.

In 2021, the unit was acquired by Seabulk Tankers Incorporated. A division of the Seabulk Group of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Where the unit retained her name.

The tug is fitted with an INTERcon Coupler system. She is powered by two, Wartsila 9L32 medium speed diesel engines with Wartsila Gear (SCV85-P51) with Vertical Offset Ratio of 2.4:1. Turning two, Lips, inboard turning, controllable pitch, 13.4(in), four bladed, nickel aluminum bronze propellers fitted in kort nozzles. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 12,000 horsepower.

She is capable of operating on heavy fuel oil as well as No. 2 marine diesel fuel oil. To operate the tug while on heavy fuel oil, a thermal oil heating system has been installed with heavy fuel oil pumps and thermal oil piping all provided by S-Man/American United Marine.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 500 kW generators sets, that are run via PTO from the main engine shafts. Her standby generator is a single, 260kW, Volvo Penta generator set. With an additional 150 kW, Volvo Penta emergency generator.

The Galveston is "married" to a 521(ft) 4(in) 156,000(bbls),l barge the Petrochem Producer that was constructed by Bay Shipbuilding Incorporated of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin for the U.S. Shipping Corporation.
