Built in 1971, by Bennie Ditta of Harvey, Louisiana (hull #1) as the B.J. Ditta for Bennie Ditta of Harvey, Louisiana.

In 1972, the tug was acquired by Toups Marine Service Incorporated of Marrero, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Roger P. Toups.

In 1976, she was leased to Titan Marine Incorporated of Alton, Illinois. Where she retained her name.

In 1985, the tug was acquired by Millet Towing Incorporated of Marrero, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Ashley Millet.

In 1987, she was "bareboat" chartered to the LeBeouf Brothers Towing Company Incorporated of Houma, Lousiana. Where the tug retained her name.

In 1987, the tug was acquired by Rousse Marine Incorporated of Cut Off, Louisiana. Where she was renamed as the Harbor Tide.

In 2012, she was acquired by Miller's Tug and Launch Incorporated of Staten Island, New York. Where the tug was renamed as the Shawn Miller.

Powered by two, GM 8V-71 diesel engines. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 600 horsepower.
