Built in 1958, by Blount Marine Incorporated of Warren, Rhode Island (hull #49) as the Beth I for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
In 1965, the tug was acquired by an individual named Michael McCluskey of Baltimore, Maryland. Where she was renamed as the Mister Jordan.
In 2004, she was then acquired by the R.J. Casho Marine Towing Company of Wilmington, Delaware. Where the tug retained her name.
In 2011, the tug was acquired by the Thornton Brothers Towing and Transportation Company of Allendale, New Jersey. Where she was renamed as the Coney Island.
In 2012, the tug was acquired by Coastline Marine Towing Incorporated of Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey. Where she was renamed as the Coastline Bay Star.
In 2016, she was acquired by Frank Scobbo Construction Incorporated of Port Washington, New York. Where the tug was renamed as the Bay Star.
Powered by two, Detroit 6-110 diesel engines. With an Allison 4.5-1 transmission, turning two, 50(in) by 38(in), stainless steel, fixed pitch propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 600 horsepower.
