Built in 1973, by Universal Iron Works Incorporated of Houma, Louisiana (hull #116) as the Shan-Dav for Shan-Dav Incorporated of Cut Off, Louisiana.
In 1999, she was acquired by an individual named William B. Clark of New Orleans, Louisiana. Where the vessel retained her name.
In 2009, the vessel was acquired by Coastline Marine Incorporated of Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey. Where she was renamed as the Reliable.
In 2018, she was acquired by an undisclosed interest.
Originally constructed as an Onshore Supply Vessel. She was converted for use as a towing vessel by Coastline Marine Incorporated. Including the installation of a hydraulic boom crane. With a 5 ton capacity, and 40(ft) of deck cargo space.
She is a twin screw tug, rated at 1,500 horsepower.
