Built in 1956, by M. Podrigue and Son Shipyard of Vacherie, Louisiana as the Akela for Telecom USA Incorporated of New York, New York.
In 1994, the tug was acquired by Caldwell Marine International Incorporated of Toms River, New Jersey. Where she retained her name.
In 2003, Caldwell Marine International Incorporated renamed the tug as the Roly C.
In 2010, the tug was acquired by the Fox Marine Corporation of Easton, Pennsylvania. Where she was renamed as the Fox Boys.
She is a single screw tug, rated at 400 horsepower.
