Founded in 1964, by Mr. J. Arnold Witte, their principal business activities are marine salvage, marine transportation, related services as well as conventional and environmental dredging, including recycling, land and marine demolition, pollution control and remediation, heavy lift transport, marine transportation and landfill remediation/site management.

DonJon has since expanded to include the largest shipyard of its kind on the Great Lakes to provide shipbuilding, dry-docking, ship repair, barge construction, vessel conversion, re powering, maintenance, steel fabrication, steel assembly.

The Company serves customers throughout the Northeastern United States, with other operations spanning the globe.
