Built in 2003, by Bollinger Shipyards Incorporated of Lockport, Louisiana (hull #431) as the Jane A. Bouchard for the Bouchard Transportation Company of Melville, New York.

The tug is fitted with an INTERcon coupler system. Although she was fitted with a coupler system. However, she is also outfitted with traditional towing equipment.

In 2021, the tug was placed out of active service and was "laid up" at Staten Island, New York.

In 2021, she was acquired by Rose Cay Maritime LLC. of Houston, Texas. Where the tug was renamed as the Anna Rose.

Powered by two, channel cooled, EMD 16-645-F7BA diesel engines. With Reintjes WAF 3455 reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.480:1. Turning two, Bollinger Aquamet 17, five bladed, fixed pitch, 140(in) by 94 (in), bronze propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated at 6,140 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by three, 99kW Baybren M60HAC-006 generator sets. Driven by three, Detroit Diesel 8V-71 diesel engines. Her capacities are 150,000 gallons of fuel, 8,000 gallons of lube oil, 804 gallons of hydraulic oil, and 11,000 gallons of potable water.
