Built in 1972, by N.E. Insley Incorporated of Crisfield, Maryland (hull #110) as the G. and E. No. 4 for Constellation Power Sources Incorporated. A subsidy of the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company of Baltimore, Maryland.
In 2003, the tug was acquired by the Vane Brothers Company of Baltimore, Maryland. Where she retained her name.
In 2016, the tug was acquired by the Stevens Towing Company Incorporated of Yonges Island, South Carolina. Where the tug was renamed as the Island Progress.
In 2023, she was acquired by the Seaward Marine Corporation of Norfolk, Virginia. Where she was renamed as the Madilyn Marie. Where she was "laid up" in Norfolk, Virginia.
Powered by two, Caterpillar diesel engines. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 1,100 horsepower.
