Built in 2013, by Eymard Marine Construction and Repair Incorporated of Harvey, Louisiana (hull #112) as the Kristin for the Eymard Brothers Towing Company Incorporated of Harvey, Louisiana.

In 2013, the tug was acquired by Magnolia Fleet Incorporated of Destrehan, Louisiana. Where she retained her name.

In 2017 she was acquired by Savage Marine Services Incorporated of Salt Lake City, Utah. Where she was renamed as the Savage Elevate.

In 2020, the tug was acquired by the Kirby Corporation of Channelview, Texas. Where she was renamed as the Roan.

Powered by two, Cummins KTA38-M0 II diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 6:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 2,000 horsepower.
