Built in 1975, by the Grafton Boat Company of Grafton, Illinois (hull #574) as the Joey-Trish for the Hennepin Towing Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota. And was operated by Gulf River Services Incorporated of Westwego, Louisiana.

In 1975, the tug was acquired by the Universal Towing Company of East Carondelet, Illinois. Where she retained her name.

In 1977, the Universal Towing Company became Riverway Harbor Service Incorporated of East Carondelet, Illinois. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2005, she was acquired by the Ingram Barge Company of Nashville, Tennessee. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2011, the tug was acquired by Belleview Sand and Gravel Incorporated of Petersburg, Kentucky. Where she was renamed as the Danny L.

In 2015, she was acquired by the Crounse Corporation of Paducah, Kentucky. Where the tug was renamed as the Captain James H Coomer III.

Powered by two, GM 16V-71 diesel engines. With Twin Disc reduction gears, at a ratio of 5.17:1. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 940 horsepower.
