Built in 1969, by Jeffboat Incorporated of Jeffersonville, Indiana (hull #2093) as the R.W. Naye for American Commercial Lines LLC. of Jeffersonville, Indiana. Where she was operated by Inland Marine Service Incorporated of Hebron, Kentucky.

In 2012, the tug was acquired by the Ingram Barge Company of Nashville, Tennessee. Where she was renamed as the Larry Drummond.

Repowered in 2013, she is driven by two EMD 12-710G7C III diesel engines. With Lufkin reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.345:1. Turning two, fixed pitch propellers mounted in kort nozzles. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 6,000 horsepower.
