Built in 1966, by Jeffboat Incorporated of Jeffersonville, Indiana (hull #1228) as the Dell Butcher for American Commercial Lines LLC. of Jeffersonville, Indiana.

In 2005, Inland Marine Service Incorporated of Hebron, Kentucky was contracted to operate the vessel.

In 2012, the tug was acquired by the Ingram Barge Company of Nashville, Tennessee. Where she retained her name.

In 2014, the Ingram Barge Company renamed the tug as the Kim W. Nowell.

In 2019, the Ingram Barge Company renamed the tug as the Y.S. Chi.

In 2019, the Ingram Barge Company renamed the tug as the Youngsuk Chi.

Powered by two, Alco 16-251B diesel engines. With Lufkin reduction gears, at a ratio of 5:1. Turning two, fixed pitch propellers mounted in kort nozzles. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 5,000 horsepower.
