Built in 1965, by Jeffboat Incorporated of Jeffersonville, Indiana (hull #1225) as the Clyde Butcher for American Commercial Lines LLC. of Jeffersonville, Indiana.

In 2005, Inland Marine Service Incorporated of Hebron, Kentucky was contracted to operate the vessel.

In 2012, the tug was acquired by the Ingram Barge Company of Nashville, Tennessee. Where she retained her name and was operated Inland Marine Service Incorporated of Hebron, Kentucky.

In 2014, the Ingram Barge Company renamed the tug as the Robert J. Barker.

In 2019, the Ingram Barge Company renamed the tug as the Mark Duley.

Powered by two, Alco 16-251B diesel engine. With Lufkin reduction gears, at a ratio of 5:1. Turning two, fixed pitch propellers mounted in kort nozzles. She is a twin screw towboat, rated at 5,000 horsepower.
