Built in 1966, by the Nashville Bridge Company of Nashville, Tennessee (hull #1798) as the Martha Lynn for the Mid-South Towing Company of Metropolis, Illinois.

In 2002, the Mid-South Towing Company became the TECO Barge Line Incorporated Metropolis, Illinois. Where the tug retained her name.

In 2012, she was acquired by the Ingram Barge Company of Nashville, Tennessee. Where the tug retained her name.

Rebuilt and repowered with three GM 16-645F diesel engines. With Falk reduction gears, at a ratio of 4.36:1. Turning three, fixed pitch propellers mounted in kort nozzles. She is a triple screw towboat, rated at 10,2000 horsepower.
