HAROLD A. REINAUER II

Built in 1972, by the Southern Shipbuilding Corporation of Slidell, Louisiana (hull # 95) as the Cabot for the Boston Towboat Company of Boston, Massachusetts.

In 1985, the Boston Fuel Transportation Company of East Boston, Massachusetts (a subsidiary of the Reinauer Transportation Company of Staten Island, New York) acquired Boston Towboat Company. Forming the Boston Towing and Transportation Company of East Boston, Massachusetts. Where the tug was renamed as the Harold A. Reinauer II.

In 2011, the Boston Towing and Transportation Company was reabsorbed by the Reinauer Transportation Companies of Staten Island, New York. Where the tug retained her name.

Powered by two, twelve cylinder, EMD 645-e2 diesel engines. With Lufkin reduction gears. Turning two, cast steel, fixed pitch, propellers. She is a twin screw tug, rated a 3,000 horsepower.

Her electrical service is provided by two, 75kW generators, driven by two, Detroit Diesel engines. The tug's capacities are 25,000 gallons of fuel oil, 1,288 gallons of lube oil, 13,225 gallons of ballast water, and 2,031 gallons of fresh water.
