Founded in 2018, by brothers James and Jonathan Stasinos of Weymouth, Massachusetts. The company is based out of the Boston Harbor area near Boston, Massachusetts.

The company began with the brother's acquisition of the T/V Growler United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York. Which became the first tug Charles James. The vessel worked upon the waters of Boston Harbor, Cape Cod Bay, Buzzards Bay and Narragansett Bay.

In 2019, the first Charles James was "laid up" at Gloucester, Massachusetts. And was later sold to an undisclosed buyer.

In 2019, the brothers acquired the tug Megan McAllister which became the second tug Charles James.

Stasinos Marine LLC. provides coastwise towing services, dredge tendering, as well as tug and barge, and ship assist services in the New England area, and along the east coast of the United States.
